The Missio Dei Breviary

Misseo Dei

Self published, and available free online, the Misseo Dei Breviary, was birthed in the daily life of a missional community.

If you are looking for an engaging, and easy to use daily prayer practice, this book is a good place to begin.

I just got the printed copy, it’s easy to carry around, and I’m trying it as part of my christian formation and practice.

It’s cool that you’re trying it out, Jase. It’s good stuff.

Are you using it individually, or as part of a group?

I’m glad you’re trying it out. For some reason, our breviary is appreciated a lot more by folks in the UK, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, and Canada than in the USA. I wonder what that says about the USA?

      Thanks Mark.

Maybe in our context, where there are almost no christians any more, and no christian culture, trying to form an identity in the face of consumer culture, means that the restoration and practice of liturgical practices, is more intuitive, and less controversial.

Did you see the paper I wrote for the bible society on the renewal of liturgy from a UK and european perspective?

That makes sense. I suppose that is why large sections of USAmerican Christians can talk about consumer culture and generate “heat” without ever doing anything. Thanks for the link. I’m up changing my son’s diaper and look forward to reading it when I’m awake-er. :)
