Did Jesus go to the Theatre?
4 Mar 2008
Chance are most of you won’t have heard of Nick Page.
Yet he’s been around for some time, and written over 50 books. He reminds me of Rob Bell, Conrad Gempf, and Len Sweet, in terms of the amazing way he brings the bible to life.
We had Nick speak at our church this past sunday, using one of the chapters in his new book, ‘Did Jesus go to the theatre?”
You can also get the audio of his presentation here.
If your looking for a book to get you wanting to go back and read the bible, and something left of field, you won’t be disappointed with this book. One of the most interesting books, that will sit on my desk to dip in and out of, or maybe it should be in my bathroom, by the loo?

Thanks for the heads up. I haven’t really heard of him…but if it worth a read by the loo then I’ll get that book.
Cheers.

OOOO!!! I’ve heard of Nick Page (feel like teachers pet now!). I read Church Invisible in one day a few years back now. Nick has a wonderful writing style. His new book looks great, that’s going on my Amazon list! Thanks for the heads up.

Huh, never heard of him. 60 books?! I’ll have to check him out – as if I need more books to feed my addition… : )
Thanks!

Nick Page is a fantastic writer. I have not read this book but his book on worship song lyrics (”And Now Let’s Move into a Time of Nonsense”) is pure genius. I almost wet myself laughing. And his overview of the whole Bible (”The Big Picture”) is also excellent and has some very funny pictures with captions.
But not only is he funny – he also makes very good serious points. He is one sharp cookie.

“ordered” – should arrive tomorrow. His ‘and now lets enter a time of nonsense’ is another great read especially for those involved with musical worship bands.
