I love how our kids teach us so much. And your comment leads me to think of putting away childish things...! Thank you for reminding us how much we can learn from our kids, even in the simplest of things.

Bryan (3) great observation! I keep reminding myself from watching my 3 yr old son that it is a lot more easy (and fun!?!) to knock things down than it is to build them up - i think i'm really challenged to stop trying to make everyone do church my way!

Helen (2) - you older people are always teasing us young whipper snappers - guess that's the advantage of having wisdom on your side ;)

I like your wisdom of learning from both - it certainly has been an eye opener for me!

Peter (1) thanks very much. I agree we can learn a lot from people who have experienced frustration - i think frustration can be a helpful thang just like anger can when it gives emotional energy to confront/face/explore/ponder the things that are getting our goat ;)

It is very difficult for me to remain positive in this challenging world. Thank you for encouraging me to be an agent for positive vocation amongst the institutions, the masses of humanity as well as my friends and acquintances. I will try to be gracious to others and the Lord has been gracious to me. There are a lot of good sermon topics in your post. Thanks again. Dan

Sigh, may we never tire of learning that God is our strength, even when we can only shake our heads at how weak we have been and say, Thank you Jesus for loving the unlovable, desiring the undesirable, and not needing me to be perfect.

Great post. It strikes me that we are always better at being reactionary and critical than we are at being edifying and encouraging. We tend not to be creative and helpful to organizations; we more often that not simply find the negatives and harp about them.
