Meebo: Use all your IM accounts with one account
21 Feb 2006
Meebo is in alpha, but I have been trying it and it works brilliantly and is free. It allows you to bring all your Instant Messaging accounts together in one place with one interface, and allows you to IM from other peoples machines using a web browser.

Thanks Jason, I use Adium at the moment, which serves a similar function and is much neater… however, the ability to log on from anyone’s computer is a plus!

Interesting, Jason … have you seen any difference in functionality from something like Trillian, which is what I use?

Hi Mike. I used to use trillian on a PC (and loved it) but on moving back to mac had to give it up as there is no mac version. I;ve been using Adium on mac and that’s great.
I think Meebo is great for a simple one click bookmark rather than downloading and running an application, and being able to access your IM accounts from someone elses machine with a browser is very cool.
