What makes a christian hero?

Family Picture 021 Ezr
Some of you know Carl Tuttle, most of you won’t. But the chances are if you every sang in a modern church a worship song you’ll have sung one written by Carl. Carl began the worship that is now so well known by the Vineyard movement.

I’ve known Carl since I was 19, so nearly 17 years. When I had panic attacks and a nervous break down, 7 years ago, Carl found out and called, and helped me so much, as he had been through much worse.

He’s a hero of mine, for his inspiration and teaching, but mostly for being there during one of the darkest times of my life.

His story is not one of retiring as a rich well known worship leader, but of immense pain and loss. He has a great web site and blog here.

I love stuff stuff. I grew up going to the Vienyard in HS in Anaheim, CA in the mid 80’s when the vineyard was just a vineyard meeting in a old gingantic warehouse. That’s where I truly learned what it meant to enter into worship of our Lord and that the Lord wanted and desired our worship.

I think a christian hero is someone who gives his or hers time selflessly and just seems to jnow what to say annd how to care,
but also has a deeper spiritual connection.

It’s a very old Caltic belief and was one of the higest callings for a Celtic Christian.

A hero/friend/brother indeed! Oh that we all could be that to one another… in good times and bad… thanks for telling your story!
