Prayer Request

I’m about to leave for the US, to speak at the Worship Art Liturgy and Preaching in the Emerging Culture Conference. My topic is Is There a Future for Preaching in the Emerging Church. I’ll make sure I take notes and post them here as soon as I can.
I covet your prayers at this time, as I leave home. Jonny DeVial a baby in our church died today, you can read about him at our church site. Jonny was born with his twin Sister at 25 weeks, nearly 15 weeks premature. Whilst his sister is doing well, Jonny died today on his due date, after surving far longer than any doctor expected him to. I got to see him regularly, pray for him, and to say goodbye to him today.
So prayers for the family, Jon and Rachel, for his sister Rosie, our church as they share in Jonny’s dying, and wisdom for the funeral, when I return.
One of those days that puts the importance and place of church in perspective for me.

my heart breaks for jon and rachel…and jonny’s sweet sister, who will miss her twin, known from the earlies days in the womb… praying for them.
wish i was able to make the WALP, what an amazing venue! too many schedule conflicts-hope to be there next year- interested in hearing about your experience.

please convey my deepest condolences to Johnny’s parents from me and my family here from Malaysia. The image of the “Good Shepherd” was one I was highlighting to the children in my church yesterday. He knows each sheep by name .. Jesus knows Johnny.

Jesus, Good Shepherd, receive Jonny into your arms. Cradle him in your love. Bless him and take him to your Father. Comfort the hearts of his Jon and Rachael and bring them peace and consolation. May he live forever with you in heaven. Amen

O God, whose beloved Son took children into his arms and blessed them: Give us grace to entrust Jonny to your never-failing care and love, and bring us all to your heavenly kingdom. Deal graciously with Jon, Rachel, and Rosie in their grief. Surround them with you love, that they may not be overwhelmed by their loss, but have confidence in your goodness, and strength to meet the days to come; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

I am a servant of Christ in need to be empowered by the Holy Spirit to be bold in my music ministry. Please God make a way where I can’t see a way! Anoint this humble vessel for Your glory!
I have let fear motivate me away from my true calling long enough. Please pray that God will open all doors He Will’s me to go through, and that God Will close all doors that I should not go through.
Also, please pray that Christ is making a way for me with this new job that I’m applying for, so that I can financially keep afloat in order to help fund my own music ministry and support myself in Christ!

Dear brothers and sisters,
I would like you to pray for my girlfriend and her parents. Her parents are divorced. Her mother is living together with an uncle and recently her father married a girl from Asia who could have been his daughter. My girlfriend is a christian and wants to put God on the first place in her life. Please pray for my girlfriend, her parents and also for me. We all need His Wisdom, Strength and Love so much !
