Summoned to lead, by Len Sweet.
Len Sweet is a supervisor of my doctoral cohort. I got to study the manuscript/early draft of this book last year. Based on the life of Sir Ernest Shackleton, If you’re tired of the cast a vision, set a strategy, rally the troops, and take the hill, well-worn principles of modern leadership, then you’ll enjoy the refreshing take on leadership of this book. I tried reading that book, and you pretty much summarized the only thing I found it to say. It’s a great point, but I didn’t find much else besides it.
