Recap – The Passion
9 Jan 2004
In moving to this new blog, my old posts are on my old site. So I thought I would re-post here the ones that got the most comments and interaction incase any of you missed them.
We used the trailer from Mel Gibson’s new film “The Passion” for communion on sunday.
It was so powerful, and moving.
I hope christians do not use it to “preach the gospel” at people coming out of the cinema, or hand out tracts, and pamphlets.
Can we let the story itself, the gospel, speak to people as they watch.
Now if we could meet people afterwards and buy them coffee, promise not to talk and just to listen, and let people ask questions…that would be amazing to be part of.
To hear people share their stories of interaction, and how the story of Christ’s passion moved and touched them, would be worth paying for.

Man, I hope not either! I am so looking forward to this movie, though!
